Monday, they’re not so bad for me, in a way I kind of look forward to them. I hurried down the stairs then slipped into my heels and fastened them by pulling the side zipper up on each one. I let the dogs outside while I prepared my coffee. I secured them in the kennel and bid them farewell with a “Bye doggies…see you soon!”.
Ed Sheeran’s song “Perfect” began to play from my iTunes once Bluetooth made the connection between car and iPhone. Awww…I love this song I thought to myself but for a Monday morning commute this probably would not have been my first choice. I would have gone with something along the lines of “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor” by the Arctic Monkeys but I let it be.
The song ended as I slowed to a stop at a red traffic light so I Googled then YouTube’d Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect Symphony” with Andrea Bocelli. The symphony accompaniment, the lyrics and Andrea Bocelli’s elegant touch to the ballad with his beautiful Italian tenor voice made for a perfect song.
I’m in an Ed Sheeran kind of mood today so as I work away I have a Sheeran playlist on and can you believe that “I See Fire” nearly got me misty eyed!? Curious to see what others thought of the song I scrolled down to read the comments and was relieved to see that I wasn’t the only one who felt something when hearing this song from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my brothers’ souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin’s son
One of the best comments that I read there was:

Very talented. The fact that he got to play with Bocelli speaks volumes of the respect he has by his peers.
